Senior basketball player Matthew Moore grew up in Greer, S.C. and attended Greer High School. Moore started playing basketball at the age of four and has been playing ever since.
When asked why he has played for so long, Moore says, “It was something that I loved to do that I was good at.” One of his favorite high school memories is when his high school basketball team won the state championship his junior year.
He wanted to continue his basketball career through North Greenville University. Moore said, ”I wanted to play at the next level."
One of the things that his basketball career has taught him is how patient of a person he can be. With the basketball season winding down, Moore’s college career is coming to a close.
When asked what he wants to leave with his teammates, Moore said, “The good memories I’ve made with my teammates.”
Moore was also asked after graduation what he will take with him from his basketball experience at North Greenville University. Moore said, “The friendships I’ve made.” The last game of the season is Friday, February 23 at Southern Wesleyan University at 7:30 p.m.
